Sprint will start taking pre-orders for the new LG G2 flagship smartphone next month and will offer a free Quick Window case with pre-orders.
With pre-orders starting next month for the Sprint version of the LG G2, the smartphone is expected to make its grand commercial debut just in time for the lucrative holiday shopping season.
"Continuing to raise the bar in Android innovation, we are thrilled to team up again with LG to bring another top-of-the-line device to our customers," said David Owens, Sprint's Vice President of Product Management and Logistics, in the press release. "LG G2 brings everything together in a device with a comfortable, functional, convenient and beautiful design. With the multitude of Android apps available for download, LG G2 and Sprint's new Unlimited Guarantee plans make the ideal pair for today's multimedia, multitasking lifestyles."
"In addition to an impressive lineup of smart features, LG G2's innovative design makes it a stand-out device in the current mobile marketplace," added James Fishler, LG Electronics USA Senior Vice President of Marketing. "Equipped with a single rear key that controls multiple functions of the device and gives users a nearly edge-to-edge viewing experience on a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, LG G2 is the ultimate example of intelligent features meeting intuitive design."
Sprint will start taking pre-orders for the LG G2 on Oct. 11, offering the smartphone for $199.99 on a new two-year contract or eligible upgrade. Each customer who pre-orders the new smartphone will also get a free Quick Window case, which normally costs $49.99.
The carrier further mentions that customers who buy the LG G2 and sign up for Sprint's new Unlimited, My Way plan or My All-in plan are eligible for the Sprint Unlimited Guarantee, which gives them unlimited calls to any wireline or mobile phone, as well as unlimited text and data on the Sprint network as long as the plan is in service. The new Unlimited, My Way plans start at $80 per month, excluding taxes and surcharges.
Sprint made no mention of when the smartphone will actually ship to consumers, but the press release does mention that the LG G2 will launch in time for the holidays.
