Get at least $200 for any iPad with Target’s current in-store trade-in promotion

Alexandra Burlacu

Target is running an in-store promotion for its trade-in program, offering gift cards of at least $200 for any iPad, until Nov. 9.

The retailer's new trade-in promotion kicked off on Sunday, Nov. 3, and is valid through Saturday, Nov. 9. To attract more customers, Target is offering at least $200 worth of gift cards for any iPad in working condition, even first-generation models.

As the promotion is in-store only, interested customers will have to bring in their older iPad to any Target Mobility store. It's worth highlighting that those who try to trade in their first-generation iPad online will see a $65 value for the tablet, but could get $200 in a Mobility store.

Target notes that its current in-store promotion for its trade-in program applies to any "previous model working iPad," which means that the older Apple tablet must be able to turn on in order to be eligible. Moreover, the iPad you want to trade in must have the display in good condition, with no scratches.

The retailer normally offers $65 for a fully functional 16GB first-generation iPad and $145 for the 16GB first-generation iPad Mini. With "at least $200" now up for grabs for the older-generation iPads, interested customers may want to take advantage of this offer while it lasts. To do so, all you have to do is follow three simple steps:

Step 1: Access Target's store locator at this link, select "Target Mobility" and find your local Target Mobility Store.

Step 2: Bring your older-generation iPad to your local Target Mobility store and trade it in at the mobility kiosk in the electronics department.

Step 3: Enjoy your Target trade-in gift card, which is redeemable in any Target store.

Considering that Target is offering the new iPad Air with a $479 starting price for the entry-level 16GB model, customers who get a $200 gift card in exchange for their older iPad could buy the newest model for only $279.

Keep in mind that this is a limited-time offer set to expire by the end of the week. After Nov. 9, Target will return to its normal trade-in payments.
