Logitech has a treat for mobile gamers, as the company just launched its PowerShell iPhone game controller + battery for $99.99.
Just in time for the holiday season, Logitech has officially released the PowerShell iPhone game controller that recently leaked online. The device is now available for pre-order.
The new Logitech PowerShell iPhone controller is designed to allow for more accurate gaming movement by providing gamers with physical controllers. This increases precision by eliminating the need to rely on touchscreen controls. Although smartphones and mobile gaming have come a long way, touchscreen controls often diminish the gameplay and limit the viewing area. Physical controllers for mobile devices aim to provide a solution for this issue.
While the Logitech PowerShell iPhone controller adds physical controls for an enhanced gaming experience, the accessory does not affect the smartphone's own controls.
"Gaming isn't the only thing you do when you're on the go. PowerShell adds great gaming features without stopping you from snapping pictures, making calls, or listening to music," touts Logitech. "And volume up/down buttons, ring/silent switch, and power/sleep button all remain fully accessible."
"Use powerful, precise console-style analog controls to dominate your favorite iOS games - and your opponents - more easily than using on-screen controls. Plus, the analog d-pad, shoulder triggers and button cluster move your hands away from the screen for the clearest view of the action."
The new PowerShell iOS controller from Logitech is designed to work with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, or the fifth-generation iPod touch running on Apple's latest iOS 7. Moreover, the iOS accessory also comes with its own battery, allowing users to increase the battery performance of their device.
"Intense gaming can strain your device's battery. PowerShell backs you up with a 1500 mAh battery, increasing the available power capacity of the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s or 5th generation iPod touch. When the external battery indicator is low, use the included micro-USB cable to top up both your device and PowerShell," Logitech further notes.
The Logitech PowerShell iOS gaming controller is now available for pre-order for $99. Check out the video below to see the gadget in action.
