This holiday season has brought many attractive deals for a bunch of popular smartphones and tablets. While many of those promotions have expired as soon as the calendar turned to 2014, Best Buy is still offering a great deal for the 16GB Google Nexus 7 tablet.
The second-generation Nexus 7 has seen great demand and is considered one of the best tablets of 2013. It has seen great success and is a fierce competitor in its category, as many customers see it as the best choice for a small-sized Android slate.
The Google Nexus 7 (2013) sports a 7-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a pixel density of 323 pixels per inch (ppi), and Gorilla Glass protection to make it scratch-resistant. Other specs include a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing shooter, stereo speakers with surround sound and Frauhofer audio technology, and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. In terms of connectivity options, the Nexus 7 (2013) supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The tablet also features a microUSB port, a Slimport for 1080p HDMI output, and comes with wireless charging capabilities out of the box. A large 3,950 mAh battery will allow for up to nine hours of active use, nine hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing or e-reading, and up to 300 hours of standby time.
