The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has officially landed on T-Mobile's network, as previously rumored, and it's now available for online order.
Just a few days ago the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 was rumored to launch on T-Mobile, and it turns out that it was all true. The carrier has not issued a press release to announce its new addition, but the tablet is already available for ordering online from T-Mobile's website. As expected, the slate is available for $0 down, as part of T-Mobile's "Uncarrier" strategy.
Getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 for $0 down from T-Mobile, however, means that you would have to pay $13 monthly installments spread over 24 months. At the end, the total cost of the device will amount to $312.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage capacity. The 7-inch display has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Other specs include dual cameras of 3 and 1.3 megapixels, respectively. In terms of software, the tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Wi-Fi and 4G are on board as well.
It's a good tablet with decent specifications, but the Google Nexus 7 is widely considered the best Android tablet in its category. T-Mobile is offering the Nexus 7 for $15 per month, adding up to a total price of $360 over two years (previously it was $384), but you get far better specs for that price. The Nexus 7 boasts a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, a full HD display, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front shooter. Moreover, the Nexus family is always the first in line for new Android versions.
If the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is what you want, however, you can now get it for $0 down from T-Mobile at this link. As the carrier points out, a new device purchase requires a SIM Starter Kit, which will automatically be added to your order. As expected, if you cancel your wireless service before the 24 months of monthly installments are up, the remaining balance for the cost of the device will become due.
