Samsung has just provided a full list of devices that are set to get an update to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat in the U.S.
Android 4.4.2 KitKat will begin its journey to select Samsung devices on Tuesday, Feb. 18, rolling out gradually to several smartphones and tablets. The list of devices set to get the very latest version of Android doesn't really bring any surprises, but it does add official confirmation from Samsung itself.
Samsung Galaxy devices in the U.S. that are currently scheduled to receive the KitKat update include select carrier variants of:
"Availability varies by carrier and product, with updates beginning today and continuing throughout the coming months," Samsung states in a press release issued to the media.
"The upgrade provides a number of innovative, easy-to-use features that enhance the user experience, including a more intuitive user interface, enhanced messaging capabilities and updated applications.
As expected, the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will bring a number of notable improvements to the table, so here are the most significant ones, as listed in the press release.
While the list of devices currently set to get Android 4.4.2 KitKat is quite extensive, it doesn't rule out the possibility of other devices getting the upgrade as well in the future.
