Lenovo took the wraps off its new Yoga 10 HD+ tablet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, offering the full specs and pricing details about its latest slate.
MWC 2014 has kicked off with several exciting announcements from heavyweight companies, and Lenovo certainly stands out. The PC maker showed off its brand new Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+ tablet, which boasts some notable improvements over its predecessor. The tablet comes with high-end specs and features and builds on the design of the original Lenovo Yoga 10 tablet.
"The YOGA Tablet 10 HD+ refines the tablet's unique design with Hold, Tilt, and Stand Modes by infusing it with the latest technologies including a Full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and sharp high resolution camera while maintaining its incredible up to 18 hours of battery life," Lenovo boasts in its press release.
"While the original Yoga Tablet 10 broke the mold on the tablet design, the YOGA Tablet 10 HD+ refines this model for multimode tablets with new leading features. First, consumers will notice how the tablet's 10.1-in 20/20 Vision display graphics seemingly pop off the screen. With Full HD 1920x1200 resolution, movies and photos look crystal clear and more like real life. Thanks to new Smart Display, the tablet automatically adjusts the images and text on the screen to the ambient light, making it gentler on users' eyes in all its modes."
The new Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+ further a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, expandable up to 64GB via microSD. Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.6-megapixel front shooter, and dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Audio technology. The tablet also boasts 178-degree IPS wide viewing angle and a massive 9,000 mAh battery that Lenovo claims will provide up to 18 hours of runtime on a single charge. On the software side, the slate ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.
"Customers have told us they love the YOGA Tablet for its clever design that gives them a better way for all the different ways they use tablets," further touted Jeff Meredith, vice president of marketing at Lenovo Mobile Business Group. "Now we've created the new YOGA Tablet 10 HD+ to give customers the ultimate multimode tablet experience, packing it with premium technologies from a gorgeous screen to faster processor to user-centric software."
The new Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+ tablet will launch with a $349 price tag and will become available through Lenovo and major retailers in April.
