Jan 22, 2016 10:19 AM EST

Apple has just unveiled that it will be opening a dedicated iOS app Development Centre in Naples, Italy. The said centre will be offering a curriculum that is created to train the next generation of app developers. There will be enough support provided for the teachers, and a specialised curriculum by Apple will be offered.

The goal is to provide students the practical skills that will help them be a part of Apple's community and create apps for the tech company's iOS devices. The tech company will also work with its partners in Italy in order to create more opportunities for their students. The details though on what these opportunities might be are not known as of the moment.

For now, there are no other available details on what the course curriculum will tackle, how long it will take for a student to finish it and if there are any official accreditation given by the company to their students. There is also no word yet on which institution the tech company has partnered with to teach the said curriculum. The Cupertino company, however, announced that it has plans to expand this programme to other countries in the future.

According to Apple's Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook, Europe is home to some of the most creative developers in the world, and the company is thrilled to be guiding the next generation of entrepreneurs in Italy to get the skills they needed to succeed. One of the driving forces behind the more than 1.4 million jobs by Apple was the phenomenal success of the company's App Store.

Apple also says that the App Store helped developers in Europe earn over €10.2 billion EUR or $11.1 billion USD from their apps. The 75,000 jobs in Italy alone owe their existence to the App Store. According to Qurami CEO and founder Roberto Macina, Apple's innovation has inspired them to create the best mobile experiences and make their consumers' lives easier. The Cupertino company's app ecosystem is the anchor for its businesses.

It is also a known fact that thousands of companies have been expanding their work with Apple, which in turn supports thousands of jobs in large and small communities across Europe.
