'The Walking Dead' Star Michael Rooker Explains How The Famous TV Show Should End

Dec 20, 2016 08:42 AM EST

Michael Rooker aka Merle Dixon of AMC's "The Walking Dead" had just explained his version of the end. By the end, it means how he thought the ending of the TV show should be. Although fans can expect that the series will still go on for a time, it sure is interesting to know how the final episode will be.

According to Comic Book, Rooker was at the Walker Stalker Con in Charlotte. He was amongst movie and TV stars that were guests in the panel. During that panel, the actor was asked how he thinks "The Walking Dead" will end.

The official Twitter account of the Walker Stalker con had a video of Rooker's answer and it was pretty elaborate. Somehow, it coincided with one of the theories that fans of "The Walking Dead" has about the show's ending.

Apparently, Rooker envisions that Carl (Chandler Riggs) will be the only survivor of the zombie apocalypse. He described how fans will see someone walking into the sunset only to realize that it was a grown-up Carl.

"No one else is with him--just him," Rooker explains. "And as he does his voiceover, you realize that all the seasons that you've seen is him reliving his past." The actor went on and said that Carl will be the only one left and everyone on the show has died.

The idea of Carl surviving the apocalypse is actually common amongst fans. Even though Rick (Andrew Lincoln) has always been the central character throughout the show, it was Carl who was deemed as "untouchable" as Undead Walking noted.

Fans have seen Carl grow up and surviving in a world full of zombies and enemies have apparently made him stronger. It's no wonder that among all of the characters, he could have the bigger chance of surviving the apocalypse.

Sure enough, this end may be so distressing, especially when fans think of fan favorites such as Rick, Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride) or Michonne (Danai Gurira) dying. Nonetheless, it could be pretty much a possibility.

"The Walking Dead" has recently had its mid-season 7 finale. Although the ratings were not as great as the season's premiere, the show is still on top of the list.
