After a few months of brewing speculations, the tech and gadget community was finally given a bit of fact about the highly anticipated game console form Microsoft, the Xbox Scorpio.

For months since Microsoft made the pronouncement that the Xbox Scorpio Microsoft game console may be made available in 2017, the tech and gadget community has been bombarded with rumors concerning the features and specification of the next gen Xbox game console.

In an earlier report, Microsoft's Phil Spencer has said that the Xbox Scorpio may be priced close to the prices of high-end PCs. This pronouncement from Spencer was met with high eyebrows as it implies that the new game console will be pegged at the thousands range unlike Sony's latest Ps4 Pro which is currently retailed at £349.

However, in a much later report, Spencer clarified that the team in Microsoft is not keen with competing with gaming PCs. Although the Xbox Scorpio is a premium game console, the price will still be closer to the range of today's game consoles than being pegged at the price of high-end PCs.

At present, no further details are given as to the exact price of the new Microsoft game console. Spencer, however revealed that it would definitely cost more that Microsoft's current flagship gaming device, the Xbox One S. Xbox One S is currently being sold with a £250 price tag.

The Xbox Scorpio is by far the most powerful gaming device to come from Microsoft's stable. In fact, the game console is already touted as the most powerful game console ever created.

If current reports hold, the Xbox Scorpio will have 6 teraflops of GPU under its hood which will allow users to have a real 4k gaming experience. This power is more than enough to outduel Sony's current top dog, the Ps4 Pro.

Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio will also have support for virtual reality.
