Sony Xperia Z2 trapped in block of ice, still works (VIDEO)
Alexandra BurlacuA new video shows the Sony Xperia Z2 trapped in a box of ice, and the smartphone still works even after everything freezes.
The Xperia Z2 is the latest flagship smartphone from Sony and it boasts some exciting specs and features to make it worthy of the title. Like most of the company's latest products, the Xperia Z2 sports a high rating for dust- and water-resistance, allowing for more durability even in tougher environments.
This means that Sony Xperia Z2 users don't have to worry if they accidentally spill something on their phone, or even if they drop it into a bucket of water. As it turns out, the IP58-certified Sony Xperia Z2 can even make an awesome cocktail.
The folks over at Nixanbal have decided to do a more hardcore test for the Xperia Z2, and the result is quite impressive. Cocktail recipe: take one Xperia Z2 smartphone, add three large glasses of ice, season it with slices of lemon, lime, and some strawberries, top with water until the whole container is full. The entire thing must completely, leaving a block of ice encasing the smartphone. More specifically, this interesting cocktail has been frozen for roughly 12 hours. As you can see in the video below, the smartphone is in a solid block of ice.
Not only does the Sony Xperia Z2 make it through this icy ordeal, but it even puts on a nice light show. After freezing the whole thing, the folks over at Nixanbal proceeded to call the icy smartphone. The Xperia Z2 rings while trapped in the ice, and its display gives out some awesome light effects.
This is not to encourage Sony Xperia Z2 smartphones to give their smartphones a good bath and then stick them in the freezer, but this test does show the great capabilities of this durable smartphone. If anything, it's enjoyable to watch and makes you crave for a cool cocktail with lots of ice.
