Moto G 4G LTE cheaper than ever from Best Buy - $179.99 unlocked
Alexandra BurlacuThe Moto G 4G LTE is now available for its lowest price ever in the U.S., as retailer Best Buy has shaved $40 off the regular price tag.
The upgraded version of the affordable Moto G usually sells for $219.99 unlocked, but Best Buy's new promotion now brings the price down to $179.99. It's worth pointing out, however, that you can't just order the device on the retailer's website and have it shipped to your doorstep. You can buy it through Best Buy's website, but you will need to pick it up at one of its physical retail locations, as shipping is not available.
As a reminder, the Moto G 4G LTE is an improved variant of the original model, and supports all major 4G LTE networks across the world. Moreover, while the original, non-LTE Moto G doesn't have a microSD card slot for additional memory, the 4G LTE variant comes with microSD support for up to 8GB of external storage capacity.
The Moto G proved to be Motorola's most popular handset because it offers some impressive specifications for its low price tag. In India, for instance, Motorola has managed to outperform Nokia due to its Moto G, becoming the fourth largest smartphone maker in the country.
As for specs, the Moto G comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display with a 720p HD resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor under the hood, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage capacity, expandable via microSD for the 4G LTE model. Other specs include a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,070 mAh battery to keep things up and running. On the software side, Android 4.4 KitKat runs the show.
If the Moto G 4G LTE was not attractive enough, Best Buy's new deal will surely make it more appealing to potential buyers. The handset is now available for $179.99, unlocked and contract-free. Best Buy only lists the black color option for the Moto G 4G LTE, and the deal is only good for U.S. customers. To learn more about this offer or to place your order, head over to the retailer's website at this link. Remember that shipping is not available for this product, so you'll have to pick it up in a Best Buy brick-and-mortar store.
