AT&T announces LG G Pad 7.0 LTE for $0.99 when purchasing select smartphones
Alexandra BurlacuAT&T will start selling the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE in the U.S. on Aug. 8, offering the slate for just $0.99 when purchasing a select smartphone.
The carrier has announced that it will be the first to offer the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE in the country, and it has a very special offer for customers who are looking for an LG smartphone as well. More specifically, AT&T will offer the tablet for $0.99 along with the purchase of an LG G2, LG G3, or LG G Flex smartphone.
"AT&T is the first to bring you the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE, and starting August 8, you can purchase the tablet in AT&T stores and at att.com for just 99 cents, when bundled with a LG G2, LG G3, or LG G Flex smartphone," touts the carrier.
The LG G2 and LG G Flex are available for $99.99 with a two-year service agreement, while the current LG G3 flagship comes with a $199.99 price tag on-contract. This promotional deal should be quite attractive for those already looking to buy one of these three LG smartphones, as they can get the tablet for virtually nothing.
Otherwise, those looking to purchase just the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE will also be able to get the tablet separately starting on Aug. 8. The LG G Pad 7.0 LTE will be available for $149.99 on a two-year contract, or for $12.50 per month and no down payment with the no annual service contract plan. The full retail price of the tablet is $250.
For those unfamiliar with the device, the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE is the smallest tablet in the company's lineup and sports an attractive design. The slate features a 7-inch HD display, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 8GB of internal storage capacity, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2-megapixel front shooter, and a 4,000 mAh battery to keep things up and running. On the software side, the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and comes preloaded with popular features such as Knock Code, Q Slider, Quickmemo, Qpair, and others.
AT&T made no mention of what color options it will offer for the tablet, but we'll find out soon enough when it starts selling the LG G Pad 7.0 on Aug. 8 through its online and retail stores. In the meantime, check out the video below to learn more about the upcoming slate.
