Samsung Galaxy Note 4 official drop test: Performance and durability (VIDEO)

High-end devices usually come with a price to match and before investing a hefty amount of money in a device, consumers want to know that the gadget will be able to withstand the occasional drop without breaking or shattering into pieces.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the hottest devices of this year and it comes packed with high-end specs and features all around. The phablet already made its debut in Samsung's home country of South Korea and will hit the U.S. and Europe later this month.
Samsung has now decided to highlight the fact that it's new Galaxy Note 4 is not only impressive when it comes to specs and features, but also in terms of durability. The company conducted its own series of tests to show off the handset's durability and the latest video now shows a few drop tests for the Galaxy Note 4.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 seems to hold up quite well in the range of drop tests seen in this video, which suggests that it should be able to withstand the occasional drop just fine.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 boasts a 5.7-inch display with a Quad HD (QHD) resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or an octa-core Samsung Exynos 5433 processor under the hood, depending on region.
Other specs include 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage capacity, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 3.7-megapixel front shooter. On the software side, the Galaxy Note 4 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, with Samsung's own TouchWiz UX on top.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will make its formal debut in the U.S. next week, on Oct. 17, and it will also hit Europe at the same time. Amid lots of excitement and anticipation ahead of the big launch, the drop test from Samsung aims to make the handset even more attractive to potential buyers.
