Lava Unleashes New P7 Device Into The Indian Market
Mary Cris BalancioLava International has once again launched an entry-level or low-cost device in India to cater to the user's need for a lag-free, big-screen smartphone experience. The new mobile device called the Lava P7 has a 5-inch display that comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It also has an 854 x 480 FWVGA pixel resolution that renders vibrant colours.
The Lava phone will be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which can be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It runs on a 1.2GHz 32-bit quad-core MediaTek processor and is dual-SIM-enabled, both of which are 3G enabled. It has an internal storage of 8GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card and a RAM of 1GB.
The P7 handset boasts a 5-megapixel rear shooter and a 2-megapixel front shooter with a LED flash. It comes with customised camera software with features like Live Photo, Face Beauty, Panorama and Voice Capture. It also offers advanced features like Child Mode, which makes it easy to capture photos of kids as there are certain sound options that help garner the attention of the child. The cameras also support HD video recording and full HD playback.
Lava P7 also comes with the latest Google Indic Keyboard that supports 12 Indian languages. There are also other features such as multipoint touch, custom and drawing gestures, plus smart wake-up. It offers 3G connectivity, which is in the 900MHz band, which promises to offer better experience. It will also support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS in terms of connectivity.
The latest smartphone device from Lava will be powered by a 2000mAh battery that has a power saver mode. The battery can have over 20 hours of talk time, according to the company. The Lava P7 device sports great aesthetics and is available in three colour variants, white, blue and gold with a pearl finish. It will be priced at ₹5,499 INR and will be available in multibrand outlets, national retail stores and e-commerce platforms.
