iPhone 8 Latest News & Design Update: Glass Screen No More, Plastic Screen Takes Place; Apple Leads a Smartphone Revolution

The Apple Company claimed that the replacement of glass screen with plastic screen is to create a curved screen into its next blockbuster smartphone, iPhone 8. This design change will replace the traditional aluminum and glass build often seen in previous iPhone devices.

The curved screen design will bring iPhone 8 alongside Samsung's flagship devices, both of the Galaxy S6 and S7, that also feature curved screens. With this change, Apple can achieve its dream to build a smartphone with no bezels, featuring an edge-to-edge display.

Apple will introduce multiple versions of the iPhone 8 with the curved OLED screen display edition. Sadly, this brilliant idea behind the curved OLED screen display comes from Apple's biggest rival, as written by Express UK.

Apple ordered all plastic OLED from Samsung to give the curved screen effect to their new iPhone 8. The South Korean firm's Samsung is reportedly capable of supplying around 100 million units to Apple for the new device.

According to Daily Mail, Apple will feature a curved screen on its next products, which is expected to launch in autumn 2017. However, the curved OLED display for iPhone 8 remains a rumor as no confirmed report has been released about it.

Until now, Apple has been using Corning's durable Gorilla glass for its iPhone screens. It hasn't clear yet whether the plastic screen will be used alone or a glass layer will be added as cover.

Some of iPhone fans said that they are disappointed with iPhone's idea but others think that it is a great idea. For now, Apple seems to keep its competitive spirit in the gadget industry.
