iPhone 7 May Still Have Headphone Jack
Staff ReporterThe Apple rumor mill recently began buzzing with rumors for the remove of iPhone 7's headphone jack. However, it now seems to be false alarm. New clues suggested that iPhone 7 will outfit a headphone jack.
French site Nowhereelse.fr Tuesday released an image of Lightning cable assembly, depicted as iPhone 7's components, which include a headphone jack on the far left-hand side. The part also has the cellular antenna cables and the obligatory Lightning port.
The image of alleged iPhone 7 Lightning cable assembly was uploaded anonymously via a Weibo account. Therefore, it could be counterfeit from Chinese counterfeit manufacturer.
A source from Apple supply chain told Chinese tech website ITHome, the 4.7 inches iPhone 7will keep the 3.5mm headphone jack design. But it is still unclear if the 5.5 inches iPhone 7 will adopt the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Apple reportedly will start mass production of iPhone 7 in June, therefore, more reliable news will pop up.
Mobile&Apps previously reported that Japanese magazine revealed the design of the upcoming iPhone, which show the headphone jack are removed.
Meanwhile, Apple's CEO Tim Cook broke silence on iPhone this Monday in an interview, "new iPhones that will incent you and other people that have iPhones today to upgrade to new iPhones."
Cook did not go into details about the next generation iPhones. But from what he was saying, we can expect iPhone 7 will have a major upgrade.
iPhone 7 is rumored to debut this fall, probably on September.
Rumors suggested the iPhone 7 will adopt a slightly larger battery, a dual lens camera, the faster processor A10, a 4.7-inch LCD display, and 2GB/3GB RAM. It may also feature waterproofing design, a new sensitive home button, tweaked casing with fewer antenna lines.
