Predictions About 'Battlefield 5'

Great news for all the Battlefield players! Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline are free to download this week. Electronic Arts distributes free DLC for promoting the game's latest version on Friday at 9PM UK time.

According to Eurogamer, the creators are allowing the fans to take advantage of the free Battlefield 4's add-on Dragon's Teeth and Battlefield Hardline's Robbery DLC until May 10.  They also noted that the creators might extend the promo if the upcoming release of the new Battlefield game will be successful.

Additionally, Polygon reported that players will be able to unlock the Gold Battlepack if the community reaches the goal of up to "2.5 million melee kills across all Battlefield 4 multiplayer modes."

The free download is available for these gaming consoles:  PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. There will be new community missions on the free Battlefield games as well.

Battlefield 4 is reported to have four additional maps for the Dragon's teeth that go with 12 vs 12 chainlink mode. On the other hand, Hardline's Robbery expansion is also improved with four new maps as well, with a few new weapons and gadgets.

While the next game title is set to unveil on May 6 at 4pm ET, tech website VG427 suspects that it might simply be called as Battlefield 5. Moving forward to the latest version, Metro stated some predictions that enthusiasts could expect.

Comparing to Call of Duty, critic Tim Powers wrote that EA should strive hard to level against the major competitor. While stating that there isn't much exciting about the latest release, the critic appears to be hopeful about the future of Battlefield.

"Can't imagine WWI working but I wouldn't be surprised if they tried and that they at least go with WWII," as quoted from the website.
