OnePlus 3 Might Feature Fingerprint Sensors
Dheeraj RThe release date for the Chinese smartphone, OnePlus 3, is expected to be May 18, according to the latest reports from GizmoChina. The report is said to be correct as the publication holds a reputation for accurately predicting the launch dates of smartphones, preferably from Chinese smartphone manufacturers.
University Herald reported that even though the company representatives have not made any official announcement about the release date of the next flagship device, the internet is flooded with the reports that the smartphone, OnePlus 3, will most probably be released tomorrow.
Besides, the release date speculations, there is no information yet on the possible venue or city where the upcoming flagship device, OnePlus 3 will be unveiled, reported Phone Arena. But, few rumors, which are doing rounds on the internet, suggest that the venue for the event might be Beijing, given the company's previous launch history.
Earlier, there were reports that the release date of the new device from the OnePlus manufacturer has been slated for June this year. The reason for such deduction was reported to be the fact that the company followed the same routine to unveil the first-gen OnePlus.
To add on to the fuel, the co-founder of One Plus, Carl Pei, has earlier revealed that the much-awaited device, OnePlus 3, is slated to be released at the end of Q2. "The company is expecting that their new model will captivate the users, just like its first smartphone," said Carl, as reported by Vine Report. "As far as the phone's availability is concerned, the new handset will be available in the U.S. along with other markets as an unlocked phone. OnePlus will be directly distributing the new handset."
Apart from the release date rumors, the specs and features of the new device have also surfaced on the internet. IBTimes reported that the latest OnePlus 3 will consist of all-metal body design with antenna bands at the top and bottom.
But, the most exciting feature is the fingerprint sensor that is expected to be included in the smartphone. There are reports that the home button of the OnePlus 3 will act as the fingerprint sensor and will add on to the security of the device. The leaked pictures of the latest flagship device from the Chinese manufacturer also suggest that it will feature a 5.5-inch screen with a 16-megapixel rear camera. It will consist of an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
