Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Ready To Set Trend With Iris Scanner; Device To Include 6GB RAM With 5.8-inch QHD display
Dheeraj REven though the South Korean giant, Samsung, has not confirmed any of the specs of the much-awaited, Galaxy Note 6, few reports have claimed that the new device will feature a first-of-its-kind concept in the smartphone, an Iris Scanner. The reports started doing rounds on the internet after a Dutch publication, Galaxy Club, revealed that the company has filed for two trademarks, Samsung Iris, and Samsung Eyeprint.
Tech Times reported that as the fingerprint scanners are becoming common with each passing day, the Iris scanners in Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will break grounds and set an altogether new trend in the smartphone industry. Few reports have also reported that the new Iris recognition technology will be better than the fingerprint recognition systems.
In order to use the Iris scanners to unlock their Samsung Galaxy Note 6 smartphones, the users will have to press the power button and then hold the phone up in front of their face, reported Game N Guide. The phone will then recognize the user and unlock the smartphone for use. This spec is reported to provide the Samsung device users with added security measures to keep their smartphone's data safe.
According to Slash Gear, other smartphones from Microsoft, which already feature this Iris recognition technology, are Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
With all the Iris scanners information, few specs reports also suggest that the new device Galaxy Note 6 will consist of Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 6GB of RAM. It is reported that if Samsung actually opts to include 6GB RAM in the latest device, then it would be the first smartphone to include such high specification RAM.
Rumors suggested few other specs that would be featured in the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 device. The publication claimed that the upcoming device will boast a 5.8-inch screen QHD display. It is also reported that the new device will consist of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage option with the addition of a new micro SD card slot.
Besides, rumors also said the new smartphone will include specs like 20 MP rear camera, 4000 mAh battery, USB-Type C ports, waterproofing, and foldability feature. The much-awaited smartphone from Samsung in the Galaxy Note series is expected to be revealed in three variants namely, the Galaxy Note 6, Galaxy Note 6 edge and Galaxy Note 6 Lite.
