New Leaked Images of Gear Fit 2 Show A Sleeker Version of Fitness Tracker
Shilpa ChakravortyAlthough rumors have been rife in the air about Samsung's newest fitness app, yet much was not known about it. However, the latest images throw some light on the much-awaited Gear Fit 2.
Recent promo images for the latest device shows the wristband with a variety of faces and fitness tracking apps. The Gear Fit 2 definitely has a sleeker shape than its predecessors do.
The latest app consists of a display, which sits well with the wristband, rather than being raised up from the surface. Additionally, it also contains a 1.84 inch AMOLED display, and boasts of a 4 GB internal memory and a built in GPS.
Moreover, the Gear Fit 2 will also reportedly contain Samsung's New Bio Processor, which was unveiled in December 2015, and has been used to measure a number of biometrics including skin temperature, heart rhythm, heart rate and body fat, according to reports from The Verge.
Meanwhile, PC Advisor reported the latest version of Samsung's Gear Fit will also include IP - 68 waterproofing, meaning, users can take it while swimming.
Notably, the previous versions of Samsung's Gear Fit were only compatible with Samsung Galaxy devices. However, Samsung has reportedly made sure that the latest Gear Smartwatch would work with a variety of other Samsung devices, if not all.
The design of the Samsung Gear Fit 2 is similar to the original design of its predecessors. It consists of a fairly simple clasp and users can choose between three colors, namely black, purple and blue. In addition, the fitness tracking app will also highlight vital information such as the number of steps taken, the number of floors climbed and the estimated calorie consumption by its user.
Thus, it seems that the newest version of Samsung Gear Fitness app is all set to deliver its various features. However, users will have to wait until June to actually know and experience what the device actually provides.
