It's thrilling to see what the POCO brand has brought to the mid-range market in its latest outing, the POCO X6 Pro. This new product comprises features superior to those of other devices in the same range, and it offers performance worthy of a more expensive gadget at a much more affordable price.
Like any other smartphone, the POCO X6 Pro is designed with relevance to its ergonomic design and artistic merit. The device offers different back finishes depending on the color variant: the black and gray models are constructed with a plastic back plate, while the yellow model uses a vegan leather. It provides a good build quality which is evident in its marble like finish at the back joined by a camera island and a POCO branding in the middle.
In addition, there is IP54 certification for splash protection and other aspects to provide robustness in using the phone at different terrains.
It has a unique shape that most high end cars come with, with the volume control and the power buttons placed on the right side of the phone. On the left side, there is a USB Type-C port, a dual SIM card slot, and a grille for the speaker On the bottom, there is another grille for the speaker and an IR blaster On the top, there is a cleaning 40. Yet, with these features, the device is still compact and rather portable, providing good vibration feedback, which can be a challenge for a user with a smaller hand.
In this area, the POCO X6 Pro did a lot right when it comes to design; it boasts a 6.67-inch CrystalRes 1.5K Flow AMOLED DotDisplay. This display's refresh rate is 120Hz, and it goes up to 1800 nits brightness which is very convenient as it does not burn under direct sunlight. The screen is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, which further makes it more strong.
The screen itself is exceptional and boasts brilliant colors and contrasting image details supported by Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG. The slightly near-borderless look brings great value to the interactive experience which perfectly complements media consumption and gaming. Apart from that, stereo speakers are twins and fulfill the function of clear and loud/ sound output that diversifies multimedia.
Under the hood, the POCO X6 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor paired with a Mali G615 GPU. This chipset is built on a 4-nanometer process, featuring an octa-core setup that includes 1 Cortex-A715 core at 3.35GHz, 3 Cortex-A715 cores at 3.2GHz, and 4 Cortex-A510 cores at 2.2GHz. This configuration ensures smooth performance across various tasks.
This review unit, equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, handled intensive tasks and gaming with ease. The device also supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM through Memory Extension 3.0. In benchmarks, the X6 Pro scored impressively:
- Single Core: 1,118
- Multi Core: 3,813
Gaming performance is particularly noteworthy, with games like "Genshin Impact" and "Honkai Star Rail" running smoothly on high settings. However, extended gaming sessions can cause the device to heat up, a point to consider for heavy users.
The POCO X6 Pro features a versatile triple camera setup:

The main camera excels in well-lit conditions, capturing detailed and vibrant images. The ultra-wide lens, while useful, can sometimes produce overly saturated images. The macro lens, though not exceptional, adds versatility to the camera system. The 16MP front camera performs adequately for selfies and video calls.
Running on Xiaomi's HyperOS based on Android 14, the POCO X6 Pro offers a user-friendly interface with numerous customization options. However, the device comes with a significant amount of pre-installed bloatware, which may require some initial clean-up.
HyperOS includes useful features such as quick lockscreen customization, subject cutout in photos, and the Second Space feature for separating work and personal profiles. Despite the bloatware, these features enhance the overall user experience.

It has a battery capacity of 5000mAh non-removable and 67W Turbo charging for the POCO X6 Pro. The battery on the device is also quite good and holds fairly well lasting close to a day with mixed use. But it is also fast to charge and takes almost 45 minutes to charge up to the optimum level from 20%.
Connectivity options are comprehensive, including dual-SIM support, an IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G, WiFi 6E, GPS, and NFC. This makes the device versatile and well-suited for modern connectivity needs.
POCO X6 Pro as one of the mid-range smartphones fully complete all the high qualities with fewer prices. Giving it a stiff neck in the segment is the excellent display, the power it showcases in performance tests, and a battery life that would make you consider a backup. However, would-be purchasers should notice that it heats up when it is engaged in high-end tasks, and is shipped with bloatware.
POCO X6 Pro Specifications:
- 120Hz refresh rate
- 1800 nits peak brightness
- 64MP main sensor with OIS
- 8MP ultra-wide lens
- 2MP macro lens
- IP54 splash-proof protection

Through delivering top-of-the-line performance, comprehensive design and adjustment, and exquisite features, POCO X6 Pro will offer the best cost-effective experience for users.
