Telltale Games Teases 'Batman' Game Appearance at E3

Game developer Telltale Games has just announced the release date windows of two of its upcoming games, along with a teaser that at least one of them will be showcased at this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo, or E3.

Telltale Games Head of Creative Communications Job Stauffer said on a Twitter post that its upcoming "Batman" title will be released this summer, while the third season of "The Walking Dead" will debut in fall. Stauffer then mentioned that it is only one week until E3.

In a follow-up post, Stauffer gave a "pro-tip" to any media attending the popular trade show next week. "If you haven't secured an invitation to see us at Wayne Manor yet, you are running out of time!" Stauffer said, adding a reminder to email him or Creative Communications Manager Laura Perusco for an invite.

Not much details are revealed for both titles, Shacknews reported. Telltale Games has not revealed much about "The Walking Dead: Season Three" storywise, but the studio is hoping that the new game will appeal even to those who have not played any Telltale "Walking Dead" title. Shacknews speculates that this might mean new characters will be introduced in the mix.

According to IGN, the first ever Telltale "Batman" game will take place in modern-day Gotham. The game's story will not be tied up to any existing "Batman" stories (games, comics or films). Players will be controlling both millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne and the Caped Crusader.

Some key secondary characters will be in the game, including Alfred, James Gordon, Vicki Vale, and Renee Montoya, as per Telltale Games official blog. The villains have not been revealed yet, and will be kept top secret until the premiere date draws near.

Telltale Games is also working on an unannounced Marvel game and the second season of its "Game of Thrones" series, CNET reported.
