Ubisoft at E3 2016: 'Just Dance 2017,' 'Watch Dogs 2,' 'Ghost Recon: Wildlands,' 'For Honor,' Other Games' Trailer, Gameplay Revealed
Jazz RosinUbisoft has given the crowd a lot of good stuff during its annual press conference at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, which took place at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Take a look at all the trailers, gameplay videos and a brand new IP introduced today.
"Just Dance 2017" Comes to Nintendo NX
Kicking off the show is a dance number to the tune of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now", which will be included in Ubisoft's next dance game "Just Dance 2017".
Ubisoft also confirmed that the game will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 in October, with a Nintendo NX version coming out real soon.
"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands" Gameplay
Ubisoft revealed the story of its latest co-op shooter "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands". The mission is to remove the Santa Blanca Cartel's hold on Bolivia and disrupt its cocaine operations. A multiplayer gameplay was showcased during the show, which combines stealth and old-fashioned shooting.
"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands" will be out for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 7, 2017.
Sports Action Game "Steep" Is Ubisoft's New IP
This year's Ubisoft new IP is an open-world action sports game, "Steep". Developed by Ubisoft Annecy, the game features skiiing, paragliding, snowboarding and wingsuits, and players can also change to different methods whenever they want to.
No release dates were revealed for the game but it got the people's attention, especially those who loved snowboarding video game "SSX".
"For Honor" Gets Released On Valentines Day Next Year
Ubisoft also showcased one of the campaign missions for its highly anticipated hack and slash game, "For Honor". The game will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Valentines Day, February 14, 2017.
"Watch Dogs 2" Shows Gameplay Video
The recently announced sequel to "Watch Dogs" has upped the hype meter with its newest gameplay trailer, which showcases pretty much everything Marcus Holloway can do in the game: stealth, hacking, shooting and hand-to-hand combat. Ubisoft also teased an upcoming "Watch Dogs" movie.
"South Park: The Fractured But Whole" Overhauls Combat Mechanics
Ubisoft's game based on the popular TV show gets a superhero themed sequel, with revamped combat style and a hilarious storyline poking fun at all other superhero franchises like Marvel and DC Comics, plus a slight jab at JJ Abrams.
Fans will also be able to get the first game "The Stick of Truth" free as a pre-order bonus. The game launches on December 6 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
"Tom Clancy's The Division" Gets Two New Expansions
The multiplayer shooter "Tom Clancy's The Division" will get two more expansions.
"Underground" launches on Xbox One and PC on June 28, and on PS4 on August 2. Ubisoft Club members will get three special outfits based on the other Tom Clancy games (Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six) when Underground is released.
The second expansion, "Survival", will introduce a new way of gameplay to the players of "The Division". As the title implies, it will involve surviving in a very hostile environment. No release dates were given for the "Survival" expansion.
VR Title "Eagleflight" PvP Demo
A gameplay demo of one of Ubisoft's virtual reality titles "Eagleflight" was also shown on the show. The game will come to the Playstation VR, but no release dates were given.
"Star Trek: Bridge Crew" Demo Video With "Star Trek" Cast
Three actors from the "Star Trek" movies, LeVar Burton, Karl Urban and Jeri Ryan, have come together to experience the "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" VR game. The game is scheduled to come out for Oculus Rift, HTC vive and Playstation VR this fall.
B.U.D. is Back with "Grow Home" Sequel
The lovable red robot B.U.D. is back in a sequel to its platformer game, "Grow Home". The game is called "Grow Up", and B.U.D. would have to travel an entire planet looking for his AI protector, M.O.M.
"Grow Up" will be launched on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in August 2016.
"Trials of the Blood Dragon" Takes Us Back To The '80s
"Trials of the Blood Dragon," a mashup of "Trials Fusion" and "Far Cry: Blood Dragon" was revealed today in old-school '80s fashion, and is available now on Steam and Uplay for $15.
