Right before its release date, rumors and speculations continue to spread about Apple iPhone 7's specs and features.
A report came from Japanese website Mac Otakara that leaked information about the Cupertino based company's decision to have a headphone jack in form of a lightning adapter for the device.
The leaked detail was revealed during the Computex Taipei 2016 conference and suggested that it will be one of the components in the package, according to Forbes.
During the event, Chinese accessory vendors showcased their lightning audio adaptors, which are rumored to be compatible with Apple's iPhone 7 series. Although the details were not specific, it was speculated that the upcoming smartphone would ditch the 3.5mm audio jack and will have wireless support feature instead.
The decision's result claimed that it has lessened their expenditure and saved the production process of developing a new Lightning EarPods specifically for it. Also, consumers would have the option to use the headphones in the package or other audio companies' compatible product, reported by Apple Insider.
Furthermore, it was rumored that an extra speaker will be added to its specifications in order to fill the missing space created when the audio jack was removed. Unlike the iPad Pro's stereo type arrangement, the smartphone will be integrated with a "monaural system."
Speculations also circulated in the Internet that both devices included in the iPhone 7 series will have an internal storage capacity of up to 256GB.
Aside from the including a lightning adaptor for the its audio, the next-generation device will reportedly support a dual SIM functionality. If proven true, it will help those who travel in other countries or working individuals who would like to separate personal and company contacts.
As of the moment, consumers have to wait for Apple's announcement on the iPhone 7's specifications prior to its reported release date in September, according to CNET.
