Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date Delayed Until Spring Of 2017?
Eve CesistaThere has been a buzz on the Internet that Microsoft will be launching the Surface Pro 5 on the second or third quarter of the year. But the probability was reportedly shattered as of the latest update that it might not be announced until next year.
Tech Radar has been contemplating the possibility that the upcoming product will not be out until after New Year. The website is also basing this new speculation on the news that the second major update for Windows 10 is delayed until Spring 2017.
Intel also confirmed that its 14-nanometer Kaby Lake processors won't come out until the tail-end of 2016, reported Tech Times. This adds up to the possibility that the public may not be able to see a new version of the Surface Pro anytime this year.
There were rumors that the Surface Pro 5 will be announced sometime between June and October this year. This theory has been patterned to the dates that Microsoft announces its products.
Surface Pro 3 was revealed back in May 2014 and became available more than a month after. Meanwhile, Surface Pro 4 was announced and became available in October 2015.
The Redmond-based company is about to confirm whether the product will be launched months from now or no. On the other hand, here are the things that the consumers are expecting on the highly-anticipated hybrid product:
The next Surface Pro is expected to have a 4K display with a screen of at least 3,840 pixels wide with a USB Type-C port. Also, the product must have a long battery life of 7 hours for the power users.
The Stylus Pen might also be rechargeable. Patently Mobile revealed that there will be a built- in magnetic charging dock. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might cost $899 that will escalate depending on the product configuration.
These bits of information are merely derived from consistent speculations and theories revealed on the Internet. It sounds plausible, but must still be treated with a grain of salt.
Stay tuned for more updates regarding the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
