iPad Mini 5 Specs To Include 3D Touch Display With Sturdy Chassis, Water Proof Feature?
Dheeraj RThe upcoming iPad Mini 5 is rumored to rise from its predecessor with a set of new features, including an exceptional display with refurbished body panel.
Mac World reported that the upcoming iPad Mini device will sport 3D touch display functionality. Reports suggested that the display will consist of pressure-sensitive technology, which will change the overall dynamics of the touchscreen.
PC Advisor reported that the iPad Mini 5 will undergo a huge design overhaul with a sleeker and sturdier, rumored 7000-series aluminum chassis.
Other than the design and display options, the new iPad Mini 5 will also have improved device and graphics performance. It is rumored to sport a A9 processor and M9 motion co-processor with the slimmer battery unit. To further add value to it, the device is expected to feature 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 storage variants.
Game N Guide reported that Apple might introduce new value-added devices to the iPad like dust and IP68 water resistant features in order to curb the growing competition from Samsung and Sony devices, which already sport these functionalities.
Apart from the above-mentioned features, The Bit Bag reported that the iPad Mini 5 will also sport a smaller battery as compared to its predecessor's 5,124 mAh battery in order to fit into the rumored 5mm thin frame.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the iPad Mini 5 will be out in September along with iPhone 7 and few other Apple devices. The company will most likely follow its trend of releasing its devices in the month of March and September. Since its predecessor, the iPad Mini 4 was launched last year in September, many are anticipating that the iPad Mini 5 will likely have a similar release date.
