Microsoft Surface Phone Rumors: Disappointment May Surround The New Gadget Because Of Specs, Release Date

Amidst the excitement of those who have been waiting for the arrival of the rumored Microsoft Surface Phone, a new reported suggested some disappointing news.

Has the company already chosen a release date? Will it be comparable to the current Microsoft Surface Book and Surface Pro laptops? Will it have almost the same specs with the Surface tablets, or will it be more powerful?

Apparently, the answers to these questions are still vague. And if the responses would be based on the available rumors, it appeared that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone might just fall short of the consumers' expectations.

According to ZDNet, there has been no identified official date yet for the new phone's availability, but if ever it will be released, it would come not earlier than 2017.

The report suggested, though, that consumers should not get disappointed since the mobile device is still part of Microsoft's plans.

When it comes to its specs, it was dished that the large-screen mobile device will not be using an Intel-based processor, but instead, it will be ARM-based, and this was explained by noting that the company does not intend to fight head on with Apple's iPhone. Rather, the Microsoft Surface Phone will be positioned on a different perspective.

For the part of Paste Magazine, it was noted that since the production of Lumia devices has already been winding down, the release of a new line is not far from happening.

While it was projected that disappointment might surround its arrival considering the latest rumors, the report declared that there is something to look forward to from the Microsoft Surface Phone.

Accordingly, it will have enhanced Continuum capabilities highlighting the company's business strategy.

Will the Continuum feature of Microsoft Surface Phone be maximized if the processor will only be using ARM? More news in the coming days.
