iPad Air 3 Cancelled? Credible Theories Hint At Apple Releasing New Line Of iPad Models In 2017
C. de LacyA lot of consumers all had their eyes on Apple's iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2, but the newer iPad models didn't make it. Is this a sign of the tablet getting left out in the game or will Apple bring us something newer?
As we've reported earlier last week, Apple didn't bring anything new in the iPad line of products in the last Apple event. Instead, the company made some changes with the storage capacities for the current iPad models, doubling the size without increasing the price.
While there's no real proof whether the iPad Air 3 is cancelled, several clues and speculations point to the possibility of a brand new line of iPad tablets instead. One such reason could point to Apple Insider's report about the company focusing on the iPad Pro line at the mean time.
The MacBook Air 2016 also didn't get revealed in the last Apple event, indicating a delay in release rather than having its product line getting scrapped altogether. The same may be said for the iPad Air, specifically the iPad Air 3.
While there aren't any information regarding the specs of the iPad Air 3, rumor has it that it will be powered by an A10 or A10X processor, which leverages it from the current iPad Air model. Anything beyond that could still be taken as a grain of salt given that zero clues had been given regarding the tablet or let alone, its existence.
The video above shows some possible and feasible specs that the next iPad Air 3 may have once released, though it would be worth noting that this is an unofficial concept video and could possibly be far from the actual thing later on.
Stay tuned for more news about the rumored iPad Air 3.
