Nokia D1C Phone Is A 13.8" Android Tablet? Release Date Expected This 2016
PrakashA report cited a Nokia executive to claim that the company will launch four Android-based devices in the fourth quarter of 2016. Since then, a number of contradictory rumors have surfaced regarding the name and features of the upcoming devices.
A new Nokia device named D1C has made its way to a benchmark site, while there are a lot of rumors contradicting the upcoming device as an Android Phone or a tablet.
Here comes a little twist in the Nokia D1C story.
Earlier leaks originating from two benchmarks Geekbench and AnTuTu didn't reveal the display size of the Nokia D1C. Because of its rumored specs, it looked like a mid-ranger Nokia Android smartphone.
However, a recent buzz around the Internet suggests that the new upcoming device from Nokia named as D1C is a 13.8" Android 7.0 tablet.
It comes with no surprise as Nokia has confirmed working on both Android smartphones and tablets with HMD as the sole global partner.
The latest rumors suggested that the tablet will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor powering the device clocked at 1.4GHz with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
It is also rumored that the tablet will feature a 7megapixel front-facing camera and a superb 15megapixel rear camera with flash, autofocus, face detection and touch focus.
In terms of display, the upcoming tablet will give a better competition to the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3, iPad Pro 2 and Nexus 7 2016 with its amazing 13.8" flat screen (1920X1080) with 5 finger print gesture support.
The device is likely to run Android 7.0 Nougat and will also support a SIM card. It is rumored to be available in models of 16 GB / 32 GB internal storage with expandable memory.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia device will pack lots of sensors including Pedometer, accelerometer, compass and gyroscope.
The release date is highly anticipated by the end of 2016, but there are no leaks regarding its price.
Stay tuned for more updates on D1C on whether it is an upcoming tablet or smartphone.
