Apple on Wednesday released an update for its latest operating system update, the Mac OS X Mountain Lion beta. The release, called as 12A206J build, has been built for developers, reported the Cupertino based tech giant.
According to Apple Insiders, the latest build will not be compatible with the MacBook Pro model released in mid-2007 but the company has assured to resolve the issue with a future update.
While it is still not clear what the Lion OS X 10.8 Developer Preview 3 has on card, some major issues such as the Java applets, Fast User Switching, share menu problems on Twitter and Mail and the synchronization problem between Notes and iTunes along with the other issues that were prevalent in the last version, are expected to remain in the latest build.
Reportedly, Apple has also notified developers that QuickTime screen recordings can be corrupted while using machines with Nvidia graphics processing.
Apple in April supplied developers with the third preview build of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion to test the latest version of the prerelease software. The company has released its second developer preview of OS X Mountain Lion in mid-March, one month after making the initial build available.
Rumors suggest that Apple will unleash the final version of the Mac OS X operating system at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference, scheduled in June in San Francisco. Mountain Lion will go on sale on the Mac App Store this summer.
The Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3 is now available in the Mac App Store. To install this third version of OS X Mountain Lion, go to the Software Update in the Mac App Store -> click on the Apple menu -> click on Software Update -> the Mac App Store will launch and display the new build -> click on the "More" link and find "Mountain Lion Developer Preview Update 10.8″ -> click the Update button.
