Samsung News And Updates: Limited Edition Samsung Foldable Phones In 2017; Comes In 3 Forms With Dual-Display Screen Feature [VIDEO]
Portia Mae M. CansancioSamsung Electronics Co. Ltd. is the talk of the town lately due to Galaxy S8 news and updates, which keep on coming every now and then. However, more recent news unveil something else; Samsung is not only rumored to release one, but two foldable phones with dual-display screen feature in early 2017.
The Samsung foldable phones are set to be launched in the market, either during the CES in January 2017 or the Mobile World Congress that is scheduled in early 2017. Nonetheless, these are certainly coming out in the year 2017, but only in limited editions; while this revelation is expected to attract more attention, it will not completely steal the spotlight away from Samsung Galaxy 8 that will be launched first. Samsung is also rumored to continue producing these foldable phones, depending on customer's feedbacks.
As for the Samsung foldable phones' orientation, the device is reported to be capable of flexing into three different forms. The first one, it will have two screens on two sides with a hinge in the center; the second one, it may have an inward fold to keep the screens protected; and the third one, it may be just like a tablet lying flat. It will also be quite similar to a phablet and customers will be able to use it as soon as they unfold it.
Xiaomi, OPPO, and Lenovo are expected competitors for these kinds of phones. However, the idea of foldable phones is not that much popular; it sounds more like an experimental state for Samsung, according to fab newz.
Making a new smartphone completely or bringing out old-fashioned foldable phones that once ruled the mobile industry might be also a solution to rebrand its image, THECOUNTRYCALLER reported.
As you may recall, Samsung has lost billions of dollars due to the infamous Note 7 fiasco. Thus, the company's attempt to rise again; hopefully, it will happen as the first device in next year's smartphone lineup is released: the Galaxy S8.
