The upcoming new episode of Dragon Ball Super most likely indicates the possible death of Son Goku, the main protagonist. It is also mentioned that the infamous Universe 6 assassin, Hit, will be the one to assassinate Goku.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super fans are very much delighted about the brand new story arc of the hit Japanese anime series. However, some fanatics are still doubtful about the anime creators killing the story's main protagonist. Even so, speculations have been formulated and spread all over the internet; apparently, Hit has been hired to kill Goku. Goten, Gohan, and Piccolo are antipicated to witness Goku's death --- leading them to investigate the killing and Gohan to avenge his father's death, according to University Herald.

Other reports claimed that in Episode 71, Goku may not really die yet. The leaked episode title of Dragon Ball Super suggests an extended battle between Goku and Hit.

On the other hand, the leaked title for episode 72 is "Counter Attack? An Invisible Assassination Skill"; it seems that the main protagonist of Dragon Ball Super will fight back and Hit will have a hard time doing his mission. The anime series' episode 71 is scheduled to be aired on Dec. 18. Nevertheless, the fight between Goku and Hit will mark the end of 2016; however, it will not be an isolated arc as what fans are expecting.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super's episode 73 is entitled as "Gohan Gets Made Into a Movie?!" and is expected to air on Jan. 8, 2017. "For The Sake of the Which [He] Loves!" is the title given to episode 74, which will be aired on Jan. 15, 2017.
