Can Legend Of Zelda Stand Toe To Toe Against Wicher And Fallout?

Even before its scheduled release on 2017, Nintendo's The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of The Wild is already drawing comparisons with the two behemoths of RPG, Fallout and Witcher.

Nintendo's Zelda franchise has been one of its more successful video games and the fate of the Nintendo Switch seem to be tied in its success. With that, the pressure is all on Nintendo to come up with an RPG that can stand toe to toe against the best RPGs of today.

Zelda vs Fallout vs Witcher

The main selling point of Witcher 3 is its storytelling. The RPG, with its compelling storytelling, is already considered as the benchmark for open world video games. The gothic overtone of Witcher also added to the exciting story of the game.

On the other hand, Fallout 4 offers players unbridled game experience in a comprehensive virtual world. This freedom allow players unparalleled in-game access that no other RPG has accomplished before.

Now comes The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Experts are quick to point out that Zelda will never rival Witcher 3's storytelling nor the freedom that Fallout 4 gives, however, the Nintendo game already has a proven formula to catapult it into the 2017 top RPG game title.

In the Ocarina of Time, which was released some 20 years ago, the RPG has already defined the route that the game franchise must take in order to succeed in the realm of RPG and that is to take players in the world of myths and wonders.

Zelda has never been a game that will excite players with its graphics or astound gamers with excellent storytelling. For The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild to be able to be at par with RPG legends, WItcher 3 and Fallout 4, the Legend of Zelda must successfully immerse gamers into the mythical world of Hyrule.
