T-Mobile Releases Teaser Video For Next 'Un-Carrier' Move; Official Announcement At CES Set For January 5th [VIDEO]
Rei LantionT-Mobile CEO John Legere stars in the company's latest teaser video for their upcoming Un-Carrier Event. Tagged #UncarrierNEXT, the whole video focuses on everyone --- from the window washer to the Starbucks barista ---- asking Legere himself, "what's next?" Sadly, the video doesn't tell us anything, aside from the fact that we're allegedly "gonna love it."
Or so the CEO says towards the end of the video.
According to Android Police, an official announcement for T-Mobile's next Un-Carrier move is slated for releas next year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Currently, that's all anyone has to go for as far as details are concerned. There is also a part in the video where Legere cracks and tells the dentist "what's next," the two words dominating this video, but with his mouth open and half of it stuffed with cotton and translations are spotty at best.
Speculations, theories, and educated guesses abound, but none so far warrant a further in-depth scrutiny.
Legere himself also remains tight-lipped on the subject, although the CEO seems to be enjoying himself well enough by basking in the ever-growing hype. According to 9To5Google, he had this to say on Twitter: "Stop asking me, already! Just tune in & find out on January 5th!" Admittedly, users are expecting big things from T-Mobile's next move. Its last plan, the T-Mobile ONE, was full of contradictions and unnecessarily confusing add-ons. The concept behind a one-size-fits-all data plan didn't pan out so well in execution. To be fair, anything that insists on one-size rarely does.
However, there's no denying that T-Mobile remains one of the stronger, well-established mobile operator companies in the country. Their past Un-Carrier moves included single wireless data plans to unbundle bulk costs, roaming in Canada and Mexico at no extra charge, music and video streaming outside set data caps, and the T-Mobile Tuesdays loyalty program.
So, to reiterate the recurring theme of the video and this article subsequently --- what's next?
