The much awaited post-7.00 update for the popular Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game, "Dota 2," has finally been released by Valve. And just as expected, the inevitable nerf for the newly added unique hero, Monkey King, is included.

According to the recent patch notes that Valve posted on Steam, fans can certainly expect to see some significant changes to how Monkey King works in "Dota 2," particularly for its two overpowered (OP) skill sets.

First up, his D hotkey passive skill, Jingu Mastery, has been fixed. The skill, as reported by PC Invasion, no longer ignores armor when computing for the life steal. It's counter duration has also been affected by the latest "Dota 2" Patch 7.01. To be more specific, the skill now has 10 seconds duration instead of 15 seconds.

Another change that Valve implemented for Monkey King in "Dota 2" is his Q skill called Boundless Strike. It was previously released with a 200 percent critical strike damage but thanks to the minor 7.01 patch, the skill has now been rescaled to 140/160/180/200 percent for skill levels one, two, three, and four, respectively.

Meanwhile, many Necrophos fans were probably quite disappointed when Valve announced that the carry and a disabler hero is going to be removed in Captain's Mode. The move is not exactly that surprising, to say the least, considering that he has gone through a hero rework - mainly for his skills and his Aghanim's Scepter upgrade.

Luckily, after some testing, Necrophos is now back to the Captain's Mode, and it seems like there haven't been any changes to how his skills work.

The latest "Dota 2" Patch 7.01 doesn't only cover the nerfing and addition of Necrophos into Captain's Mode it also shows new buffs to certain heroes like Lina, Enchantress, and Doom. Fans can check out the full patch note on Valve's Steam post to learn about the post-7.00 "Dota 2" update.
