NBA InPlay: A New Mobile Fantasy Game In Real-Time For Android And iOS
Cris Xander JulianoNBA Just released a new mobile fantasy called NBA InPlay for Android and iOS smartphones. This has been developed so that fans can compete in real-time while watching nationally-televised games on ESPN, NBA, TNT and ABC as reported by Techcrunch.
Before a game starts, you will choose one of the teams that are playing on that particular time, where you will choose four players, one for every quarter. For example, the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat are playing tonight on ESPN. I pick the Lakers, and then I choose Jordan Clarkson for the first quarter, then Nick Young for the second quarter, and so on. You will accumulate points based on the four players that you have picked.
The real-time factor: Turbo Boosts
You are given one turbo boost for each quarter that lasts 48 seconds. You can tap and activate the turbo boost at any time during a quarter, which will give you extra points. You have to be totally in sync with the game on TV while playing the app on your device.
NBA InPlay is a free app with no additional in-app purchases
According to sporttechie, the NBA will give away prizes to top scores in selected quarters and games. The grand prize after the season ends will include a $35,000 credit in Autotrader and tickets to the NBA Finals.
NBA Senior Vice President of Digital Media Rosenthal Brenner stated that they are always looking for ways to enhance the viewing experience of NBA fans and increase the time viewing live broadcasts of NBA games and that NBA InPlay will meet those goals.
You can now download NBA InPlay for your Android and iOS devices. What are your thoughts on NBA InPlay? Will you play it during live games? Share your thoughts and write your comments below.
