Microsoft Office Gets An Update For Android Devices And Now Supports SVG Image Editing
Cris Xander JulianoMicrosoft Office is becoming a standard app on Android devices in which Word, Excel and PowerPoint are now pre-installed. Now the software giant has added another feature to make image integration easier.
It was reported by phonearena that the app has recently been updated and will now support SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) editing to create a well-designed content. Microsoft users can now take advantage of editing and inserting SVG images directly in to their documents without having to use another tool thus improving the quality of their content, which does not require a comprehensive knowledge on editing images. All you have to do is insert the image and then edit. Users may also change the color elements of the SVG image.
According to a report by goandroid, Microsoft Office for Android, particularly Word and Excel, will now support multiple windows to allow more than one app to be useable on screen at the same time. This will be convenient for users that are always on-the-go. However, this feature is only limited to Android devices running Nougat 7.0 firmware and above.
According to other reports, Microsoft stated that their apps will remain free to download for Android devices with a screen size of 10.1 inches and below. Otherwise, you will be required to have an Office 365 subscription. Example of this is the Chromebook which displays a larger screen size. Additionally, you may also now open more file types in excel that has form controls according to the same report.
I highly recommend using this app for your on-the-go content creating needs. It is very convenient to create documents at any time and any place. And if your Android device did not get a pre-installed Microsoft Office, you can download it for free in Google Play.
