Telltale's ‘The Walking Dead: A New Frontier’ Has Been Released For PC & Mobile; Adventures Of Javier And Clementine Continue
Mara RevThe wait for fans of Telltale's "The Walking Dead" is finally over! The game, which is officially called as "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier" has officially launched for PC and is expected to come out to mobile this week.
Season 3 of the game follows the adventures of Javier, a young man who is determined to protect his family, and the famous Clementine from Season One, a young girl who has had her share of losses during her life in this zombie-filled game. "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier" will work for both newcomers to the game, as well as to those who have played through the whole previous two seasons.
For newcomers, at the start of the game, players will have the option to start a "New Story" and Clementine's journey will be tailored to it. for those who want to continue the story and have saved files from Season One and Season Two, Telltale has provided two options to continue.
The first option is by using a story generator. The players will be asked a series of questions that will help customize the story in Season Three. These questions will then create a game based on the style of player you are -- and the type of Clementine you were. The second option is by using your Season Two saved game. If you are playing on the same device, all you have to do is import your saved game and you can continue.
However, if you are playing on a different device, but you have you save game in Season Two, you can update to the new Telltale platform "Telltale Cloud Saves." You then create an account, enable Cloud Saves, upload your Season Two saved game to the cloud, and launch "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier."
Additionally, the game is already available on iOS. You can get the first two episodes of "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier" for $4.99. Note that while the first two episodes are already available in the app, the purchase will only include the first episode and you will have to pay to get the second one. Just like a typical Telltale setup, players can buy each episode individually, or they can also buy the Season Pass to automatically get each episode as it comes out. Android players will have to wait for a bit longer as a Google Play version of the game has yet to show up.
