My Nintendo's new customer reward program allows Nintendo fans to unlock special awards by checking into specific Nintendo-run events and select official locations through QR code scanning. Its new check-in system with a QR code that contains your My Nintendo account information.

According to Twinfinite, finding the QR code can be done through logging in to your My Nintendo account and go to Check In. You can then present the code to check in at Nintendo events and locations, which will grant you access to My Nintendo benefits that is exclusive to members only.

Nintendo advised fans to stay tuned for more details on the benefits that may be available as they may vary. Since Nintendo has replaced Club Nintendo with My Nintendo system, the rewards might not be physical prizes though the new rewards program includes Virtual Console classics discounts.

Classics such as "Metroid Prime Trilogy," "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" and "Wrecking Crew" are included in the discounts and to take advantage of this, you will have to collect Platinum Points through games like the "Super Mario Run," according to Digital Trends.

Moreover, since there has been shortage for the NES classic edition on all stores including Nintendo's retail store in New York City, fans would love to get extra digital bonuses for lining up while waiting for their purchases on the console as well as a small discount. Hopefully.

In January 2017, Nintendo will have a series of events showcasing its forthcoming Nintendo Switch console where chosen fans get the chance to play the Switch. So, Nintendo's new check-in system would be a perfect timing for it.
