Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Confirmed To Arrive In Q1 2017, Upcoming Tablet To Feature Ultra HD Display, Stylus & More [VIDEO]
Vinay PatelIf reports running rampant online are anything to go by, Microsoft will take the wraps off its next-generation Surface Pro 5 during Q1 2017.
Those looking to get their hands on Windows 10 computers shouldn't fail to notice the Microsoft's Surface brand that encompasses the Surface Pro 2-in-1 tablet, the Surface Studio desktop all-in-one, and the Surface Book laptop -- three PC families from the Redmond-based tech giant. However, in the case that you haven't made a purchase until now, it would be ideal for you to wait a little bit longer as Microsoft is reportedly gearing up to update the only device that it opted not to refresh this year, the Surface Pro.
Not too long ago, Microsoft unveiled a radically overhauled Surface Book laptop and launched the company's first ever desktop, while totally being oblivious to the much lauded Surface Pro family. Microsoft did not even mention the Surface Pro 5 model that tech buffs have been clamoring for. But fret not, if recently surfaced reports comes to fruition, they will soon have something to cheer about.
A new report coming from Asia via DigiTimes suggests that the long-awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will hit the store shelves in the first quarter of 2017.
According to the site, the upcoming 2-in-1 tablet will sport Ultra HD display and will feature a stylus equipped with magnetic charging abilities. There's also hearsay that the device will be manufactured by Pegatron Technology, while Quanta Computer will latch on to a share of Microsoft's order.
While details about Microsoft Surface Pro 5 are scarce at the moment, the Surface products are rumored to help with Pegatron's bottom line. The Surface Studio had an impressive sale. It can be recalled that Microsoft revealed that it had an outstanding shopping season earlier this year, with the Surface being everyone's favorite, BGR reported.
Despite the lack of an official announcement, latest reports suggest the Surface Pro 5 will boast better graphics, enhanced battery life, and faster processors.
