Nintendo had an amazing 2016 with several successful products such as Pokemon Go, Nintendo Classic Mini NES, and Nintendo switch. With the release date for Nintendo Switch in the near future, and new Nintendo Switch update suggests that Switch may take the battle to PS4 and Xbox One.

According to some latest reports, Nintendo has already scored a major victory over its rivals. Nintendo has dominated and was more powerful regarding internet searches that even PS4 and Xbox One combined. Nintendo was able to dominate the internet searches banking on the popularity of its products such as Pokemon Go, Nintendo Switch, and Classic Mini, as reported by The Express.

The research was carried out by a company called SimilarWeb. The research was done based on the keywords that generated traffic for each company. The research was done in January 2016 and November 2016. In January 39 keywords were identified that were generating traffic for Nintendo whereas in November that number increased to 101. On the contrary, in November 2016 Xbox had only 30 keywords, and Playstation had 52 keywords. As reported in VentureBeat, SimiliarWeb said,

"The growth in Nintendo's search traffic over 2016 is so significant that when comparing its search traffic in November 2016 to January 2016, it multiplied its search traffic by [a factor of] 60."

Nintendo Switch will be a hit product, and with the new release, it bound to sell in huge numbers. Nintendo Switch update suggests that the company will reveal more in the Nintendo Switch event taking place in Tokyo on January 13.

Nintendo Switch is highly updated product when compared with other consoles such as Xbox One and PS4. It can be used both as a gaming console and hand-held gaming device. Nintendo Switch update suggests that it would be a six-inch tablet which can undergo a smooth transition in hand-held mode. Games will be stored in cartridges like the SNES and NES classic mini.
