Nintendo Switch Stole the Best from Wii U to Strike Back at PlayStation 4 & Xbox One

Two months to go before the presumptive release date of Nintendo Switch and gamers can't help but feel sympathy over predecessor Nintendo Wii U and its ultimate fate. The endgame isn't so good for Nintendo Wii U and it appears as if Nintendo Switch stole everything from it.

To paraphrase the whole notion, Polygon presented a nifty line "if you have to steal, steal from yourself" argument over Nintendo Switch. While the former Nintendo Wii U promised a lot in the beginning of its lifespan, the company ran out of gimmicks to sustain it until the end. And yet, this gave an opportunity for improvements and polishing in Nintendo Switch.

Yes, while Nintendo Wii U was action-packed during start, it ended as "underpowered" console after PlayStation 4 and Xbox One responded. Now it is time for Nintendo Switch to take on the helm and strike back by packing all the best from Nintendo Wii U.

Of course, there are too many wild speculations and guesses (as well as critics) that say Nintendo Switch will simply fade in the same fate as that of Nintendo Wii U. But hey, Nintendo's move to steal everything from Wii U and pack them in Switch have one strength that neither PlayStation 4 nor Xbox One can compete - portability.

Perhaps, Nintendo capitalized on the thought that Wii U served as harbinger of everything that is going to be Nintendo Switch, says The Guardian. "Super Mario Run," "The Legend of Zelda" and features that include play on-the-go are something that only Nintendo Switch can offer.

While Nintendo Wii U will always be remembered as a device that can be played without external display, Nintendo Switch elevated the game by adding this missing support. Nintendo Wii U may have been secluded from third-party developers, but Nintendo Switch is opening up and few have even taunted titles like "Skyrim."

Now to conclude, Nintendo Wii U isn't a failure after all. It evolved into a console preparatory to Nintendo Switch and the company's attempt to grab the top spot once more.
