PlayStation VR Stand: Sony Unveils Official Stand For PS VR Headset
JPSony in collaboration with Numskull, a UK-based video game merchandise manufacturer, has just released the official stand for the PlayStation virtual reality headset. The VR stand will allow PlayStation VR owners to carry their VR headsets with style.
Although the sales of the Sony PlayStation Virtual Reality headset has not yet picked up last year, Sony is still positive that the release of the official VR headset will be met with much optimism from avid Sony PlayStation fans. With the highly anticipated release of VR supported video games, including Resident Evil 7, Sony has up the ante by releasing a stylish stand for its VR headset.
The collaboration between Sony and Numskull was first reported by Power Up Gaming. The official Sony PlayStation VR stand features a heavy chrome finish base and a premium-quality obsidian head. The VR stand also has a cable strap and an adjustable height mechanism.
There is no announcement yet from Sony if the official stand for its VR headset will be released in the US. As of this moment, the official PlayStation VR stand is only available in the United Kingdom where Numskull is based. However, Yellow Bulldog, the retail partner of Numskull, has some of its product listed for delivery abroad.
The official Sony Virtual Reality headset stand comes with a price tag of £29.99 or roughly $37. With its reasonable price, the official Sony VR headset stand has already been sold out just a few days after its release.
Just like its VR headset, the Sony official VR headset stand is also difficult to find due to high demand. At present, only third party retailers are selling the VR headset and its official headset stand as supplies in the official retail partners are already sold out. However, third party retailers are selling the VR headset and the stand at a slightly higher price.
