"Half-Life 2," along with its developments, had created an incredible sense of pace about it. This progresison is not surprising; the game has become the favorite of Speed runners.

One speed runner by the name, chili_n_such, had maintained the Episode Two highest spot for four months. His feat, however, was cut short this weekend. Chili_n_such has now been overthrown due to a swift breakthrough exploited by new rivals. Jukspa, a Finnish speed runner told PCGamesN that his iteam has discovered a new skip in the secondary silo section, which saves them approximately 35 seconds.

He added that it is the out of bounds part in the video where several damage boosting takes place. Aside from that, he said that players got better at the "Half-Life 2" through time, which accounts for the rest of the time saved. Chili_n_such has the record of 37m 55s 770ms, which Jukspa has trimmed down to a meager 34m 43s 890ms.

Even with that time Jukspa recorded, it still just earned him second place behind American competitor Maxxuss. This highest placer recorded 34m 41s 830ms of time without loads and 37m 21s 930ms for time with loads. Zettadezorro of Argentina placed third with a recorded time without loads of 35m 05s 230ms and time with loads of 39m 05s 210ms. The fifth spot was claimed by deathwingua of Ukraine which made his record four months ago of 40m 13s 930ms for a time without loads as recorded in Speedrun.

"Half-Life 2" is regularly dubbed as the greatest First Person Shooter game of all time. Such tributes are not undeserved, either. The game is much more than an advancement of its excellent predecessor. "Half-Life 2" is the long anticipated sequel which was enormously ambitious, developed by a significantly more confident Valve. It has a decent AI companions; actual characters who exist and do more than just die amusingly and, on top of that, it has physics that convert the world into a seemingly tangible place and real place.
