Users are expecting Apple to release three new smartphones in 2017 with one of them with a revolutionary design and a lot of new features. Recently a number of leaks have surfaced, and the latest one has come from a famous iPhone insider.
iPhone 8 will Come With Fast-Charging Options
Sonny Dickson leaked a lot of details about the upcoming iPhones to Forbes. His revealed that the upcoming iPhones in 2017 will sport two new features that will attract a lot of users. According to the Apple iPhone 8 leaks from Dickson, all the three upcoming flagships will be equipped with fast charging facilities that have been enabled by the new "Tristar 3, Hydra" chip. The chip will take care of the functionalities of the charging port. However, there has not been much information on the kind of fast-charge feature that the users will be getting in the upcoming iPhones. It is also unclear if the feature is similar to the standard fast-charging options already available in the market, as reported by Forbes.
Apple Is Exploring Wireless Charging Technology
There was no word on wireless charging in the upcoming iPhone 8 from Dickson. Rumours suggest that the Cupertino tech giant is working on Glass shells instead of the Metallic ones to bring in the Wireless Charging option. Apple iPhone 8 leaks also suggest that Apple and Energous are working together to bring users the revolutionary wireless technology of charging iPhones across the room. However, it is yet to be confirmed if the features will be added to the upcoming iPhones slated for this year, as reported by BGR.
Apple iPhone 8 To Get Tap-To-Wake?
Dickson also said that the upcoming iPhones would be equipped with an OLED display similar to the Apple Watch that will not only save a lot of power but also bring the tap-to-wake functionality to the iPhone. Though this is just in the speculation stage, it is notable that the Apple Watch recently got the raise-to-wake functionality, which allows users to view the notifications without unlocking the device.
