LG Hub Robots Launched At CES 2017: All You Want To Know About The New Intelligent Machine

LG Hub robots at the CES event in Las Vegas are generating a lot of buzz along with the recently launched Signature OLED TV range. The South Korean Tech Giant had earlier released a teaser on the Hub robot prior to the CES Event.

LG Launches A Range Of Intelligent Robot

The newly launched intelligent robots range from LG has a Hub robot, which pairs up as a smart gateway control for home and also works as an intellectual centre that provides home notifications. LG also presented how these intelligent robots can be put to best use in airports and different public spaces for which they have been designed, as reported by Engadget.

The LG Hub Robot Will Take Care Of Home Controls And Daily Activities

The new LG Hub robot comes with an attractive design in which its screen impersonates a face. The robot has been supported by the Alexa voice recognition technology by Amazon that enables it to perform tasks such as playing music, switching the air conditioner on and more. The LG Hub robot was initially teased to function as a "smart home gateway control and a personal virtual assistant." However, later the latter dubbed as the "intelligent home notification center" after speculations rose about the Amazon's Echo or Google's Homestyle device, as reported by Gadgets 360.

The display is not only attractive but also interactive, sharing information on images of contents the house, recipes and so on. The LG Hub robot also comes with options to set the alarm, create reminders and memos and regular weather and traffic updates.

LG Introduces Mini Hub Robots And Other Smart Devices

LG has even released a press statement explaining the functionalities and features of the LG Hub robot which can nod its head to simple questions and interact with the entire family knowing their day to day activities. It can even greet each member on their wishful name. The company has also introduced Mini Hub robots that will be extensions of the central Hub robot. While the Hub robot can be placed in the hall, the minis can be located in the other rooms of the house.

The company also said that they are planning to extend this project from homes to public use areas like airports where they can be put to use to help travellers as guides and assist in cleaning as well. LG also introduced a wide range of smart electronics in the CES Event.
