Sony Showcased Its Own Version Of Wireless Earbuds At CES 2017
Gloven RamosAt CES 2017, Sony revealed a few wireless headphones and speakers. One of these devices that they showcased in the event is the prototype teaser of their own wireless earbuds.
These Sony wireless prototype earbuds have no name and no official word was announced for its release. The company showed two colors of the prototype earbuds in the event along with its charging case.
Android Headline report said that Sony, did, however, indicate that it is taking the growing trend of customization seriously, as it showed off the still unnamed in-ear earbuds in two different colors, Black and Brown.
It is not actually the first time for Sony to make a wireless earbud. Last year, they showcased a pair of wireless earbud called Xperia Ear at the Mobile World Congress and released to the market at $200, unfortunately, it received a lukewarm response from the consumers and media.
These wireless headphones and earbuds are notably on the trend these days. Asiastarz reports that after Apple iPhone 7 remove the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, Samsung and Sony are now rumored to do the same.
Sammobile reported that Samsung will ditch the standard headphone jack on their Samsung Galaxy S8 and they will release a new wireless earbud along with the Galaxy S8.
Sony, on the other hand, is not so quick to jump in this bandwagon. Reports said that the company will still put the headphone jack on their upcoming devices.
So for what is these Sony wireless prototype earbuds then? Suffice to say, too, they're likely to be another notable wireless-bud option at a time when there's not much competition as Engadget says.
Sony is also known for its top headset products with noise-cancelling technology and wireless Bluetooth speakers. They showcased plenty of these upgraded devices at the CES 2017 along with this wireless earbud prototype.
