'GTA 4's' Liberty City Coming to Game; 'Watch Dogs 2's' Wrench Now Playable on 'GTA 5'
Nens MitchellA mod teaser for "Grand Theft Auto 5" revealed that the game could see "GTA 4's" Liberty City soon. This is expected to be another addition to "GTA 5" aside from Blaine County and Los Santos.
Liberty City setting
The group of modders who released the teaser announced that no setting will be replaced by Liberty City which will be situated across the sea. "Using the power of OpenIV and openFormats, we [were] able to bring Liberty City right into GTA V map," the group added.
Since Liberty City's made-up recreational New York concept became one of the well received offerings of "GTA 4" and even had great appeal for "GTA 5," the modders created a way to easily convert the setting from the earlier installment to "GTA 5." This ensured that the file size of the mod was not large.
How to add?
Those wanting to make this mod work for the "GTA 5" should have a converter software aside from the "GTA 4" on their computers. It works on a single-player mode but cannot be played for the "GTA Online."
Rockstar Games is strict when it comes to using mods for their online games. The modders also noted that gamers who will download the mod may get banned by the game developer. They noted that they are still currently working on this offering but did not give a specific release date.
Wrench now playable
Meanwhile, another modder made "Watch Dogs 2" character Wrench playable for "GTA 5." Wrench and his face mask became one of the most well-loved characters on "Watch Dogs 2" and now gamers can play him on the GTA game. Players can also choose more outfits for him using a separate mod.
All these improvements are the recent offerings made available by modders who want to make "GTA 5" more friendly and amusing for gamers. What other features do you expect to come for the "GTA 5?"
