Samsung ChromeBook At CES 2017: Is It The Future Of Laptops?

Samsung is an active participant in the CES event of the year with a lot of interesting gadget goodies in its bag. The South Korean tech giant has come up with two Chromebooks that have been built exclusively to support Android applications. The two Chromebooks also come with a stylus support which is first of its kind that is enabled with on-screen inking. The company has also launched two new Samsung Notebook laptops built for specific purposes like relentless working or gaming. Will these Samsung Chromebook at CES 2017 change the future of notebooks?

Samsung Collaborates With Google For Chromebook Announcement

Samsung joined hands with Google to unveil the two Chromebooks, the Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro at the CES event 2017. The Chromebooks are entirely metallic and come with a special stylus that allows inking on screen, as reported by Gadgets360.

Powered by the Intel Core M3 processor, the Chromebook Pro is a higher priced version than the Chromebook Plus that runs on an ARM-based chip. Both devices are equipped with a 360-degree hinge that allows for switching between three modes, tablet mode, tent mode, and the stand mode. They come with a 12.3-inch LED display with a 2400x1600 pixel resolution.

Release Date And Other Specs

The Chromebooks come with a 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage space. They sport USB Type-C ports for charging with video output support for the4K resolution. The Chromebook Plus will be out by February 2017 and the Chromebook Pro is expected to be released a little later. Also, the Chromebook Pro will be a better version than the Chromebook Plus owing to the cost, as reported by Chromeunboxed.

The New Chromebook Stylus

The Chromebooks comes tucked in with a Stylus at the edge of the screen similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones. As the Chromebooks come with Android App Support, they will be first of the kind to come with pre-installed Google Play.

The Samsung Chromebook launched at CES 2017 will be priced at $449 for Plus and $549 for the Intel core m3 model. At these prices, these laptops are certainly the future of notebooks.
